Sit with me a moment. I swung off a crumbling cliff in Uncharted 4, missed a ledge by a finger, and laughed out loud. That is the franchise in one vine swing: big risk, bigger grin, and a cutscene that still feels like a summer movie.

What It Wants To Be

Naughty Dog remastered Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy for PS5 as Legacy of Thieves Collection, released January 28, 2022, later on PC. Nathan Drake closes his career. Chloe Frazer leads her own heist in India. Both games use improved visuals, faster loads, and DualSense features.

What Works

Set pieces remain ridiculous in the best way: truck chases, tower climbs, and gunfights that cut to banter. Traversal feels sticky and fair. Lost Legacy proves Chloe can carry a shorter, sharper adventure on her own. Performance modes on PS5 keep the action smooth. Co-op and charm still sell the fantasy of competent thieves who mostly like each other.

What Breaks

Listen well. Cover shooting can feel safe once you learn enemy waves. Some climbing sections are spectacle first, puzzle second. If you already finished both games on PS4 at high settings, the remaster is a polish pass, not a new story. Multiplayer from Uncharted 4 is not the star of this collection.

Who Should Play

Play if you want cinematic action with heart, or if you missed Drake and Chloe on last gen. Skip if you need deep RPG systems. For a darker Naughty Dog road, read The Last of Us Part I.
