PIZZA TOWER: THE FASTEST, LOUDEST, MOST UNHINGED PLATFORMER IN THE JUNGLE

9.0 of 10 bananas. A stressed chef sprints, crashes, and screams through a tower of cartoon madness in the spirit of Wario Land. Pure speed, wild art, and one of the best soundtracks around. Bosses lean on luck, and the style is loud on purpose.

Honest note: This is not a fresh hands-on playtest. I built this verdict from launch reviews, critic consensus, update history, and what is known about the game today. If I put real hours in on stream, I will update the score and say so.
Platforms: PC on Steam for Windows (developed and published by Tour De Pizza, released January 26 2023). It came to Switch digitally on August 27 2024, and Fangamer sold physical Switch editions in October 2025. The Steam button showed 19.99 dollars at my Oct 30 2026 check. I found no US Amazon listing to verify, so Steam is the only button.
Get Pizza Tower on SteamSit with me a moment. An old gorilla knows calm. Pizza Tower does not. It grabs you by the apron, throws you down a hallway at full sprint, and screams the whole way. I have not seen a 2D platformer this alive in years.
What It Wants To Be
You play Peppino Spaghetti, a chef whose pizzeria is threatened by a giant tower. Inspired by Wario Land 4, it is a 2D platformer built on momentum: you build speed into a mach run, smash through walls and enemies, then at the end of each level you trigger Pizza Time and race the clock back to the exit. Hidden collectibles and a ranking system reward perfect runs, up to the famous P rank.
What Works
Steam shows 98 percent positive from 45,634 English reviews at my Oct 30 check, and Nintendo Life gave the Switch version 9 out of 10. The movement feels incredible once it clicks, the hand drawn art looks like a lost 90s cartoon, and the soundtrack is a fan favorite. Each level throws a new idea at you, and the escape sequences turn every stage into a final exam.
What Breaks
Listen well. Nintendo Life singles out boss fights that lean on luck. The art and humor are loud, gross, and frantic by design, and some players find it hard to read what is happening at full speed. The first hour can feel chaotic before the move set clicks. On PC it is Windows only.
Who Should Play
Play it if you love Wario Land, Sonic Mania, or chasing perfect ranks in speedy platformers. Skip it if loud, crude cartoon chaos gives you a headache.

HONEST COSTS

Store note: the troop still needs an Amazon referral for this one. I found no verified US Amazon listing for Pizza Tower; the physical Switch edition was sold by Fangamer. Steam is the only button until a fair listing is real. This is not an affiliate link.
