8.0 of 10 bananas. TT Games rebuilt LEGO Star Wars from scratch: all nine Skywalker films, an open galaxy of planets to explore, and a new over the shoulder camera. Huge, funny, and generous, but the story levels are short and the collectibles go on forever.

Honest note: This is not a fresh hands-on playtest. I built this verdict from launch reviews, critic consensus, update history, and what is known about the game today. If I put real hours in on stream, I will update the score and say so.

Platforms: PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (developed by TT Games, published by Warner Bros. Games, released April 5 2022). The Amazon button is the PS5 Standard Edition disc. At my Oct 29 2026 check it was sold by a third-party seller named Mooncrest Goods and shipped by Amazon, at a low price. Sellers and prices change, so look at the seller before you pay.

Sit with me a moment. I have watched three generations of my troop argue about which Star Wars trilogy is best. This game ends the fight by giving everyone all nine, in bricks, on one disc, and letting the youngest ape fly the Millennium Falcon on day one.

What It Wants To Be

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga covers all nine main Star Wars films, from The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker. You can start with any trilogy. Between story levels you explore open hub planets like Tatooine and Coruscant, fly between them in space, and hunt for Kyber Bricks, side quests, and hundreds of characters. Two players share the game in drop in co-op, and combat got deeper with combos and a new camera.

What Works

Critics landed around 80 on Metacritic. The galaxy is enormous and full of jokes, the planets are fun to explore, and the space travel is a real thrill for kids. The new combat and camera make it feel modern, and the sheer amount of content for the price is hard to beat.

What Breaks

Listen well. The film levels are short and rush through famous scenes. The collectibles become a checklist, and the open hubs can feel empty after a while. Split screen co-op is awkward. And in 2021, before launch, Polygon reported heavy crunch at TT Games during development, which some players will want to know.

Who Should Play

Play it if you love Star Wars and want a huge, gentle co-op game for the family. Skip it if you want a serious Star Wars story; Jedi: Survivor is that game.

  • Fun space travel
  • Huge value at a low price

HONEST COSTS

  • Story levels feel rushed
  • Collectibles turn into a checklist
  • Awkward split screen
  • Third-party seller at my check
