DISHONORED 2: A KNIFE IN KARNACA

9.0 of 10 bananas. Arkane at its sharpest, with two heroes and levels that feel like clockwork.
By the Alpha. Steam storefront. Updated Oct 2026.
Honest note: This verdict is not from a fresh hands-on playtest. I built it from launch coverage, critic consensus, patch history, and known play. If I put real hours in on stream, I will update the score and say so.
Platforms: PC on Steam is the button. PS4 and Xbox One versions also exist. No Amazon listing is linked yet, so Steam is the only button.
Get Dishonored 2 on SteamSit with me a moment. A good hunter studies the ground before the strike. Dishonored 2 rewards exactly that. Every level is a puzzle box, and you choose whether to open it with a blade, a power, or no one ever knowing you were there.
What It Wants To Be
Arkane Lyon built it and Bethesda published it in November 2016. Fifteen years after the first game, the witch Delilah takes the throne of Dunwall. You play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or her father Corvo Attano, and travel to the southern city of Karnaca to take it back.
What Works
The levels are the crown jewel. The Clockwork Mansion rearranges itself with each lever, and A Crack in the Slab plays with time in a way I still think about. Emily and Corvo have different power sets, so a second run feels fresh. Stealth and chaos both work, and the game tracks your violence. Karnaca is beautiful.
What Breaks
Listen well. The story is thin compared to the worlds around it. Emily and Corvo are flat characters. Combat can be clumsy if you are spotted in a crowd. Launch PC performance was poor, though patches improved it.
Who Should Play
Play if you love stealth, experiments, and levels with many routes. Skip if you want a strong story or straight action.
STRENGTHS
- Masterful level design
- Two distinct heroes
- Stealth or chaos both work
- A gorgeous city
HONEST COSTS
- A thin main story
- Flat lead characters
- Clumsy open combat
- No Amazon offer to link yet
Store note: the troop still needs an Amazon referral for this one. Steam is the only button until that listing is real.
