8.5 of 10 bananas. Both Overcooked games and every DLC kitchen in one remastered pack: over 200 levels of shouting, chopping, and plating with up to four cooks. The best couch co-op chaos money can buy, as long as you have people on the couch.

Honest note: This is not a fresh hands-on playtest. I built this verdict from launch reviews, critic consensus, update history, and what is known about the game today. If I put real hours in on stream, I will update the score and say so.

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (developed by Ghost Town Games, published by Team17; PS5 release November 12 2020). The Amazon button is the PS5 disc. Team17 says all active players on PS5 must use DualSense controllers. At my Oct 30 2026 check the new copy came from a third-party seller, BEST SOURCE 365, shipped by Amazon, at 22.49 dollars, and the quantity picker only went up to 2. Sellers and prices change, so look at the seller before you pay.

Sit with me a moment. I have led the troop through raids, heists, and boss fights. Nothing has made them shout at each other like a kitchen on fire with three onion soups due. That is Overcooked. It is a cooking game the way a stampede is a walk.

What It Wants To Be

All You Can Eat bundles Overcooked and Overcooked 2 with all of their add-on content, remastered for new consoles. You and up to three friends run absurd kitchens: on a moving truck, over lava, split by ice floes. Chop, cook, plate, serve, wash dishes, and do it before orders time out. Team17 lists 191 campaign and Kevin levels plus 17 versus levels, seven new kitchens, three new chefs, an assist mode, and accessibility options like scalable text and color blind settings.

What Works

The PS5 version sits at 84 on Metacritic, with every listed critic positive. Destructoid says it feels definitive, and PlayStation LifeStyle calls couch co-op the very best way to play. The design is simple to learn and brutal to master: one player gets the recipe, everyone else has to listen. Online cross-play works across PS5, Xbox, Switch, and PC, and every level can be played that way. On PS5 it runs in 4K at 60 frames per second with fast loads.

What Breaks

Listen well. Alone, this game is half a meal. You can play solo by swapping between two chefs, and it works, but the magic is the shouting. GameSpew also pointed out there was no discounted upgrade for owners of the older versions. The PS5 rule about DualSense only controllers means older pads are out. And nothing here is new to anyone who already owns both games and their DLC.

Who Should Play

Buy it if you have a couch, a partner, kids, or a friend group that can laugh at failure. Skip it if you mostly play alone, or if your household goes quiet and cold when someone drops the fish.

STRENGTHS

  • Over 200 levels from both games plus DLC
  • Perfect four player couch co-op
  • Cross-play online on every level
  • Cheap at my check

HONEST COSTS

  • Weak as a solo game
  • DualSense controllers required on PS5
  • Nothing new if you own everything
  • Can strain real friendships
ALPHA VERDICT: 8.5 of 10. The king of couch co-op, with every kitchen in one box at a bargain price. Buy it if you have people to yell with. Get Overcooked! All You Can Eat for PS5 on Amazon, then meet the troop on Twitch.
