What It Wants To Be
Capcom's single-player action RPG. You are the Arisen. Vocations, a big map, and Pawns who learn, talk, and sometimes get you killed with confidence. Steam app 2054970. It shipped March 21, 2024.
What Works
The vocation swap and the pawn party are the reason to stay. A cliff fight with a badly aimed spell is chaos you remember. When it clicks, you feel like a small troop, not a hero menu. Critic scores were high. I understand that part.
What Breaks
Listen well. Player reviews on Steam have stayed mixed, and the launch earned the scar: cities that choke a PC, and fast travel that feels like a toll. Patches since then took some of the worst stutter out. I will not quote a frame rate I did not measure on this page. Capcom also sold convenience items in a way that made the troop suspicious. The pawn fantasy does not erase that.
Who Should Play
Play on Steam if you want a strange party and you like to walk. Wait for a sale if launch footage already worried your PC. Skip if you wanted a tight short story. The troop still needs an Amazon referral for this one. No substitute listing.
