KONTROLFREEK FPS FREEK GALAXY: TALLER STICKS FOR CALL OF DUTY WEEK
7.5 of 10 bananas. Cheap, snap-on thumbstick extenders that add height and grip to a DualSense, climbing the PlayStation 5 best sellers right before Modern Warfare 4 lands. Fit and durability complaints are real.

Honest note: This is not a hands-on test. I have not put these sticks on my own controller for this review. I built this verdict from the Amazon listing and its Best Sellers ranks, buyer ratings and Amazon's summary of buyer complaints. If I run them on stream, I will update the score and say so.
Sit with me a moment. Every fall the troop gets the same itch. A new Call of Duty is coming, the old aim feels slow, and somebody asks if a little piece of rubber on the stick will fix it. Modern Warfare 4 launches on Oct 23, and this week these sticks climbed the PlayStation chart, so I read the fine print.
What It Is
FPS Freek Galaxy is a pair of snap-on thumbstick extenders for PS4 and PS5 controllers, in a limited Galaxy Black finish. Per the listing, the right stick is a High-Rise concave cap that adds 10.0 mm of height, and the left is a Mid-Rise concave cap that adds 6.5 mm. Taller sticks mean your thumb travels farther for the same input, which is the whole idea: finer aim on the right, steadier movement on the left. The listing also claims a non-slip rubber compound that reduces thumb fatigue and protects the stock sticks from wear. Those are maker claims; I have not measured them. The model number is BLA-2807-PS5, and the listing warns that the packaging may not show updated compatibility.
Why It Is Selling
On October 18 2026 it sat at number 16 on Amazon's Best Sellers in PlayStation 5, one spot behind the Modern Warfare 4 PS5 pre-order at number 15. On the listing itself it showed number 77 in all of Video Games and number 1 in PlayStation 4 Thumb Grips, with 4.6 of 5 stars from 6,360 ratings. At my check it was 16.99 dollars, sold by KontrolFreek and shipped by Amazon. The timing is no mystery: Modern Warfare 4 launches Oct 23, and its campaign is already in early access for digital pre-orders.
Who It Is For
Shooter players on a standard DualSense or DualShock 4 who feel their aim is twitchy, or whose thumbs slide off the stock sticks in long sessions. They are also a cheap way to find out if you like taller sticks before you spend real money on a pro controller with swappable sticks.
What To Watch Out For
Listen well. Amazon's own review summary says buyers love the performance, but grip and fit get mixed feedback. Some buyers say they keep falling off or do not sit right on PS5 sticks, and durability is a concern, with reports that they break quickly. Value opinions are split. Taller sticks also take an adjustment period, and they can feel wrong in games that want fast, full flicks, like platformers or racers. The listing names PS4 and PS5 controllers. It does not promise a fit on the DualSense Edge or third-party pads, so check before you buy.
