AULA S99: THE RETRO GREEN KEYBOARD CLIMBING THE CHARTS, AND THE ONE WORD IN SMALL PRINT

7.0 of 10 bananas. A cheap, good looking tri-mode wireless keyboard with round retro keys, a full number pad, and a volume knob, climbing the Amazon gaming charts again this week. Listen well: it is a membrane board, not mechanical, and I have not typed on it.
By the Alpha. Gear review. Updated Oct 28 2026.
Honest note: This is not a hands-on test. I have not typed or played on an AULA S99. I built this verdict from the Amazon listing and its product details, the Amazon Best Sellers chart in my own daily captures, and public reports on AULA's TikTok Shop creator push. If one lands on my desk on stream, I will update the score and say so.
Store check, Oct 28 2026: new units on offer from a third-party seller, AULA Tech USA, shipped by Amazon. The button goes to the Green and Beige color, so check the color in your cart. Prices and sellers change, so look before you pay.
Sit with me a moment. Half my chat now works and plays at the same desk. They want one keyboard that looks good on camera, talks to the laptop, the tablet, and the gaming PC, and does not cost a week of bananas. This green board with round keys like an old typewriter keeps showing up in their setups. I read the small print before I nod.
What It Is
The AULA S99 is a full size style wireless keyboard in a compact 96 percent layout, so it keeps the number pad while taking less desk space. The listing says it connects three ways: Bluetooth 5.0, a 2.4GHz wireless receiver, and a USB-C cable. It has a rotary knob for volume and lighting, RGB backlighting, three programmable M1 to M3 keys, full key macro programming, and a two stage folding stand. The listing says it works with Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. The keys are round and retro, and this color is green and beige.
Read this before you buy: the listing itself says this is a membrane keyboard and does not support hot-swapping. The title talks about a creamy feel, but there are no mechanical switches under those keys. That is the one word in the small print, and it matters.
Why It Is Moving
This is a steady seller with a fresh bounce, not a brand new spike. In my daily captures of Amazon Best Sellers in Video Games, the S99 sat at number 52 on October 25, slid to 61 and then 77, and jumped back to number 66 on October 28, the biggest climb of any accessory in a category I have not covered lately. The listing also showed number 2 in PC Gaming Keyboards, an Amazon's Choice badge, and 2K+ bought in the past month, with 4.2 of 5 stars from 2,471 ratings. Behind it sits AULA's creator machine on TikTok Shop: a March 2026 industry post counted about 25,500 AULA keyboards sold there in 90 days through nearly a thousand creators, and the Modash library of AULA sponsored videos shows that push still running into the fall. Listen well: those TikTok numbers cover the whole brand, not this exact model.
Who It Is For
Students and remote workers who also game, desk setup builders who want color on camera, and anyone who switches between a laptop, a tablet, and a PC through the day. It also suits a quiet household, since membrane keys are softer than clicky switches.
What To Watch Out For
Membrane, not mechanical. If you want the snap and sound of real switches for fast games, this is the wrong board; my AULA F75 Pro review covers a hot-swap mechanical one from the same brand. The 4.2 star rating is fine but not elite, and ratings on a listing can be shared across its 13 colors. The listing says it is compatible with gaming consoles, but it does not name which ones or how, so I would not buy it for a console. Round keycaps look great but take a few days to learn if you type fast.
