HOLLOW KNIGHT: SILKSONG: HORNET'S KINGDOM DOES NOT HOLD YOUR HAND

9.0 of 10 bananas. A masterwork that will bruise you.
By the Alpha. Steam storefront. Updated Oct 2026.
Platforms: PC on Steam is the only button here. The game also reached consoles. This queue row did not verify a US Amazon disc, so I will not invent one.
Get Hollow Knight: Silksong on SteamSit with me a moment. Silksong wants to be the needle-thin sequel the canopy waited years for. Hornet moves like a threat. Pharloom looks painted. Then the kingdom starts charging you for the privilege of dying.
What It Wants To Be
A hand-drawn action adventure, a metroidvania, about skill, silk, and a map that keeps unfolding. Team Cherry made it. This page points at Steam app 1030300.
What Works
Movement, art, music, and combat all pull in the same direction. Exploration still pays you with places, not a checklist. When you finally win a fight, the banana tastes earned. Critics largely agreed this is a top-shelf sequel. I agree, with a scar.
What Breaks
Listen well. The difficulty is the product and the warning. Double hits, long runbacks, and benches that show up late will tilt a patient ape. If Hollow Knight already beat you, Silksong is not the kinder child. Do not buy it as a cozy adventure.
Who Should Play
Play on Steam if you like hard metroidvanias and you can laugh when the floor kills you. Skip if you want a gentle first Hollow Knight, or if you need a console disc from this page. I do not have one.
