AMFILM ONETOUCH FOR SWITCH 2: CHEAP GLASS, STEADY HANDS

8.0 of 10 bananas. A cheap two-pack of tempered glass with an alignment frame that makes Switch 2 installs far easier, as long as you beat the dust.
By the Alpha. Gear review. Updated Oct 17 2026.
Honest note: This is not a hands-on test. I have not put this protector on my own Switch 2 for this review. I built this verdict from the Amazon listing and its Best Sellers rank, buyer ratings and complaints, and published press testing of Switch 2 screen protectors. If I fit one on stream, I will update the score and say so.
Sit with me a moment. The Switch 2 screen is big, bright, and bare. It rides in backpacks, slides into docks, and meets small sticky hands. Every week the troop asks me the same thing: do I need glass on it? This week a six dollar answer climbed the Video Games chart, so I read the fine print.
What It Is
amFilm's OneTouch kit is a two-pack of tempered glass protectors cut for the 7.9 inch Nintendo Switch 2 screen, each pre-loaded in a plastic alignment frame. You clean the screen, set the frame over the console, press, and peel. The listing claims 9H hardness, a glossy clear finish, touch sensitivity that stays normal, and an oil repellent coating. Those are maker claims; I have not measured them. The kit includes dust removal stickers.
Why It Is Selling
On October 17 2026 it sat at number 14 on Amazon's Best Sellers in Video Games, between the Switch 2 owners buying games and the gift cards. The listing showed number 1 in Nintendo Switch Screen Protectors, Amazon's Choice, more than 10,000 bought in the past month, and 4.6 of 5 stars from 17,315 ratings. At my check it was 6.99 dollars against a typical 8.99, sold by TechMatte and shipped by Amazon. The Verge, after installing a pile of Switch 2 protectors, said a glass protector should be a priority for every Switch 2 owner and named an amFilm glossy pack as the easiest to recommend. Listen well: The Verge's top pick was amFilm's three-pack, a different listing from this two-pack. Prices move, so check before you buy.
Who It Is For
Switch 2 owners with a bare screen, families with kids who play handheld, and anyone who has ruined a screen protector by hand before. The alignment frame is the reason to pick this kit over loose glass.
What To Watch Out For
Listen well. Dust is the enemy. Amazon's own review summary says buyers are split on dust under the glass and on adhesion, with more negative than positive mentions of adhesion. Some buyers also report bubbles. Clean the screen in a still room and use the stickers. Glossy glass shows glare outdoors; the matte option cuts glare but, per The Verge, dulls the screen and narrows viewing angles. Pick the 7.9 inch size for Switch 2, not a size for an older Switch. If you want a sturdier frame and nicer kit, The Verge points to pricier options from dbrand, Genki, and Spigen.
